Ada Sanchez Drews is the Founder and Managing Director of BCDQ Cultural Foundation Inc, an organization established in 2015. With over 30 years of experience in mechanical engineering, she is a multi-faceted and versatile professional with expertise in education and the arts.
Originally from Venezuela, Ada launched her career as a Classical Music Professor and Pianist, serving as faculty and performing both as soloist and in chamber groups, for many years. After relocating to the United States in 1994, Ada spent many years as a Pipe Stress Technical Professional, specializing in the engineering, creation, expansion and revamps of Chemical and Petrochemical plants. She gained broad expertise in home office and job site engineering, as well as module design philosophy, and onshore and offshore (FPSO and Wellhead Platforms) projects to both American and European standards.
After completing Piano, Classical Music, Theory and Solfeggio studies at the National Conservatory of Music “Juan José Landaeta” – Venezuela, Ada went on to complete a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the Universidad Simón Bolívar. In 2011, she completed her Master of Arts in Education, Adult Education and Training from the University of Phoenix.
Ada always maintained her musical background to balance her engineering endeavors, and upon receiving her master’s degree made a professional transition back to her musical roots. She is based in the greater Houston, Texas area, and outside of running the Foundation continues to teach and perform. She credits her success to passion, focus and perseverance.
